Just another expense, right? Wrong. Without travel insurance, if something unexpected happens like an accident or a missed flight, you could be responsible for some of those costs yourself. These unexpected expenses can be expensive, so travel insurance can help give you greater peace of mind, knowing your travel investment is covered both domestic and international.
A travel insurance plan can cover you for unexpected costs incurred before or during your trip. A vacation insurance plan helps to protect your trip investment with coverages like Trip Interruption, Trip Delay, Lost or Delayed Luggage, Medical Expense and Evacuation, Trip Cancellation due to a covered reason.
The covered reasons vary by provider and plan, but depending on the plan, these might include:

If you are new to cruising you probably have a few questions about what is included on a cruise. One way to think of it is: Your cruise fare is mostly all-inclusive. Your cabin, dining in a variety of locations, pools, hot tubs, onboard entertainment, night clubs and activities are typically included on a cruise. There are extras you get to choose to spend on to enhance your experience and that is completely up to you.
WHAT FOOD IS INCLUDED? There is enough dining venues with free options that you can feast your way through the entire cruise without paying extra for as single meal. Complimentary dining venues vary by ship and cruise line but there are options for breakfast, lunch and dinner on all ships, along with places to eat in between meal times.
WHAT FOOD IS NOT INCLUDED? When you want to celebrate a special occasion, enjoy a favorite cuisine or just want to change up things there are a wide variety of specialty dining options that charge a fee.
Not included in the cruise fare are: soda, premium coffee, wine, beer, liquor, cocktails, bottled water, fresh-squeezed juices and specialty teas. These can be purchased as you go or you can purchase a beverage plan that includes all or part of above. It varies by cruise line.
WHAT ACTIVITIES ARE FREE? Most must-try activities onboard ships are included — allowing families to enjoy hours of onboard fun at no added cost. In addition to multiple pools, waterslides and hot tubs and fully equipped fitness centers, all of these activities are included (availability varies by ship) In addition, supervised youth programs are free but there are some hourly charges for late night supervision.
WHAT THINGS DO YOU PAY FOR ON A CRUISE? The gracious crew members who serve you in the restaurants and bars and keep your stateroom clean are acknowledged via a tipping system. Gratuities vary by cruise line but on average a gratuity of $16 per person per day (in a stateroom) and $18.50 per person per day (in a suite) will be added to your account (you can pre-pay your gratuities before your final payment which is what most people do). In addition, an 18% gratuity is automatically added to all purchased beverages, mini bar items and spa and salon services.
While Wi-Fi isn't included in your cruise fare, the rates are flexible (and there are certain suite categories that do include Wi-Fi when you book). You can surf and stream on a pay per day, per device basis or via a package, with discounted pre-cruise pricing. Cruise lines offer a free app which comes in handy for navigating the ship, seeing the daily itineraries, making reservations, and many other helpful features.
If your idea of relaxation includes head-to-toe pampering, you can pay extra for each service in both the spa and the salon as well as for fitness classes in the gym. Other activities with a fee: arcade games, cooking classes, professional photos and any boutique purchases.
Is that all when it comes to what things do you pay for on a cruise? We also offer shore excursions in every port — all at an extra charge — but that doesn't mean you can't explore independently.
Yes, we offer honeymoon packages to some of the most romantic destinations in the world. Contact us for more information on our honeymoon packages.
My Time Dining (a.k.a. Open Seating) is one of the options you’ll get to choose from when you book your cruise. Unlike traditional dining — where a dining time is assigned to you — guests who opt for My Time Dining can eat in the Main Dining Room anytime they like during dinner hours, according to availability. Reservations are strongly recommended. My Time Dining uses the same menu as traditional seating.
The wait staff will have your table ready for you so can avoid a delay in seating. If you would like a specific waiter or table, they are more likely to be able to accommodate your request with advance reservations (however, please note this is based on availability).
Guests who have signed up for My Time Dining will have their Sea Pass card designated with the dining room and deck number. They will be seated in one of the main dining rooms. There will be a My Time Dining check-in desk at the entrance to the dining room with wait staff to greet guests.
My Time Dining is now a choice within the booking* process. When making a reservation you will be offered “My Time” or traditional dining times** (i.e., 5:30 pm & 8:00 pm).
The minimum number of travelers per vacation package varies depending on the vendor, they can start as low as 5 rooms. Please check with your travel advisor for information on the minimum number of travelers required for your specific group vacation.
Some of our travel packages are all-inclusive, while others are not. Please check the package details for information on what is included.
